We took a field trip to a local apple farm...what fun!
Meredith came into our classroom the week before and talked to us about an apple's journey from the tree to us! This helped prepare us for our field trip.
We piled on the bus.....................
After a little warm up, we were ready to start. We were divided into 3 groups...and Mrs. B's class was also divided the same way. One of her 3 groups combined with one of ours...etc.
With Erin, we did a relay of sorts..picking up a card with a part of a plant on it. We looked at it, deciding whether it was a root, flower, stem...etc.
In Meredith's group, we played Pictionary...with all the words having to do with plants.
The third center was apple tasting! YUM!
The apple farm sells more than apples...
But apples are supreme!

I'm not including the farm's name, of course, trying to not post our location ... But local readers of this know where it is... They have THE best apples!!!!
