October 4th was our first day of Friday Groups!
The cooking group made two different recipes of cookies...
Snickerdoodles was one of the recipes...
The sewing group started cutting out their material to make coasters...
The woodworking group was measuring their pieces of wood...
then using a handsaw, they had to trim it to the correct length...
Safety first!
Part of cooking, is cleaning up!
Part of the sewing group is learning how to use a sewing machine...
and learning how to pin...
The second cookie recipe was Pumpkin Chocolate Chip....
Besides cooking and cleaning up, the cooking group also serves...
Everyone got a snickerdoodle and a pumpkin chocolate chip to try!
YUM!!!
Of course, our parents sampled the cookies too! Our centers wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for them!
We have so many parent helpers...and we're so very thankful! In the blue apron is Mr. C...who gave me the inspiration to do these groups. Mr. C also leads the woodworking group...
Friday groups are an incredible amount of fun!
