Christmas festivities!

Room 5 has been a festive place lately!
Wednesday was the main event...
at least the main event in the opinion of most Room 5ers...
Well, maybe it was also the main event for some non-Room5ers...some smaller people who loves someone in Room 5...

Like Bailey...and her mom...and the new little sister that you can't see because she's all safe and sound and still tucked away inside mom!
Bryan was ready to start making his gingerbread house...
My dear buddy, Mrs. K, came to assist. She was helping Russell support the sides of his house. Grace was making pillars for the front.
Meigan was admiring Mackenzie's artistic architectural skills!
Maiya was babysitting - just kidding! She was taking care to let her little sister share in the fun!
Ahhh...we had several Father/Daughter combinations... Meigan and her Dad...
Haley and her dad...who happens to be helping Jennifer...
Stephanie was F-O-C-U-S-E-D!
Art was making a tall roof since the rule was 'no 2 story houses'...
McKenna was patiently waiting for her mom to help...her sister is Bailey...and their brother is Jacob...
Hey, nice job, Jessica!
I'll just let you look through our day of building...our architectural skills at work with graham crackers, frosting, and a wide assortment of candies...

Another Father/Daughter...Tamia Ruth and her dad!

We had a Mother/Son combo...but I don't see the son!

As the houses were completed, the hall was the wrapping center. McKenna and Bailey were making sure Ms. McL was carefully wrapping their houses!
Mrs. T was also wrapping houses...

Gingerbread houses...what fun!
Yesterday we had our Christmas performance. Room 5 started off by playing Ode to Joy and Jingle Bells on our recorders...

Then with Mrs. B's 4th graders we sang 'Christmas Time is Here' and 'Take Me Out to the North Pole'....

Liz painted some of our shirts to look like Charlie Brown shirts...(our first song was from a Charlie Brown movie)... Thank you, Liz!

The festivities continue today with our gift exchange!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
