Examining leaves

 In science, we've been learning about plants...

 learning some of the traits most plants have in common...

 One day, we brought in leaves...

 looking at them under hand-lenses...

 recording what we saw...

 and sketching our leaf...

 We've now planted fava beans...and they're beginning to grow...and almost everyone's leaves have unfurled...

We have a little fava bean forest in our windows!
