Drawing circles

 On October 9th, Room 5 was introduced to a compass.  Not the kind you use to find your direction...but the mathematical tool!  Kai already had one so he asked if he could use it instead of the ones I had.  
"Of course!" I said.
 We first practiced just drawing circles...then we drew two intersecting circles...then 3 intersecting circles...
 Some pairs used the two people/three handed method...at least at first!





 Once the three were drawn, they cut them out...


Some decided to color them...but I had already put the camera up by that time...

I think everyone in Room 5 agreed that using a compass to draw circles was a whole lot of fun!

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN USING A COMPASS CAN NOT WAIT TO TRY IT AT HOME
