A new school year!

 Wow!  Here we are in the beginning of a new school year.  There are so many changes for our district.  For us here in Room 17, we're in a new school.  The building isn't new, but the arrangement of it is.  These pictures are from my B-Block students.  We've been working on writing a letter to me.

On the first day of school, I read a letter to Room 17.  Their letter is in the same format, the same topics for each paragraph.

We've been working on topic sentences, too.  Before paragraphs are started, they share the information they're going to write about with their 'partner', then they talk about possible topic sentences.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, we'll start our last paragraph.  This one is where they'll tell me about their 3rd grade year, followed by their expectations for 4th grade. 

I'm looking forward to reading all of them!
