Decorating Gingerbread people

This is the banner...Mrs. F is working on glueing the gingerbread people as we finished them. I was walking around with my new 50mm lens and taking photos of the adorable kids hanging out in Room 8.

Usually on buddy projects, the fourth graders help the first graders...then the first graders get to take the project home.

With the gingerbread people, everyone, both 4th and 1st graders, got to decorate a gingerbread person for the banner.
The fourth graders were full of ideas for their buddies...

It was definitely a fun day in Room 8... and a busy day... and a very messy day after we had cut out all the decorations!

Come see our banner hanging in the gym during our performance next Tuesday!

Gingerbread Men

Christmas is in the air! Part of the Christmas season at school is the Winter Program...and part of the Winter program is making a banner.
AJ was excited when he heard about all the gingerbread men we were going to cut out...

We were going to make out banner with our first grade buddies, but Mrs. F and I decided the fourth graders would cut all the gingerbread people out, and then we'd decorate them together.
We had two different colors of brown...
and two different sizes of gingerbread people...
We first used the gingerbread template and traced it...

Mrs. T was helping us stay organized!!! Hooray for Mrs. T!
David was waiting to use the template Jimi was using...
Keith got right to work on his...
If you traced the little template, you could fit two on a page...
Looks like Jaelin is tracing two dark brown gingerbread people...
Connor was doing the same thing...
Noah was working hard...
As were Serenity and Jarrin.

Tomorrow, we'll have fun decorating these with our buddies!
