Room 5 has been fortunate to have 3 university students come every Monday and Wednesday from 8:30-10 to help us with math. They were taking a math course for prospective teachers ... We were part of a pilot program to put them into a classroom. We have had Tyler, Marissa, and Kayla. Unfortunately, Kayla wasn't able to come this day...their last day with us :( To celebrate, we made stocking hat Christmas ornaments. They were a BIG hit! We also had some Texas Sheet Cake before they left.

Once this time was over, Room 5ers kept coming in at every recess they could to make more ornaments. I hope many Christmas trees across our town had these adorable ornaments hanging on them!
We're hoping to have our university students back after Christmas!
