Abby and Amanda's bags...and book orders!

I think most of the kids who live in Room 8 look forward to sharing their bags. I love the 'bags' for several reasons. One, it's good practice in public speaking. Two, it's interesting to see how the students identify themselves...and three, it's great for the other students to get to know their classmates more. We had three who shared today. Two of them were Abby and Amanda.
In these photos, Abby shared an adorable photo of her baby cousin and also a bracelet...made from, I think it was shells.
When Amanda finished with her bag, I asked the class - like I always do - "What did we learn about Amanda?" I think it was Nikkiah who said, "She likes SPORTS!" Yep, that sums it up. I have one more shot I have to include...it's Amanda with her goggles...

Book Orders were handed out today. Room 8 might be a bit different than other classes. I LOVE to read and have a hard time deciding between books, so when it comes to book orders, I don't just hand out one. Today it was FIVE. The orders need to be in by next Wednesday. You are welcome to send them in anytime. Even though there are different orders, if you want to write a check, you can write one check for the total to Scholastic...even if you order from all 5.
