Sawyer definitely knew what to do...
Jayden had told me last time that he 'was a natural.'
Sabrina had intense concentration...wanting to get her's 'just right.!'
Outside, Mr. C was instructing his woodworkers on different kinds of saws...
and drills.........
I think this was called a coping saw???
Back to crocheting... Sonja was a finger-crocheting, so she was looking on and observing until she picked up how to do it with a needle!
The woodworking group was making some notes before getting started....
Mr. S, our principal, came to help with the woodworking group...
notice the ear protectors?
Mikayla, in the cooking group, was cracking some eggs into a cup...
Ian was ready to add the vanilla into the batter...
Jade was putting the cupcake liners in the pan....
while Mikayla continued to beat the batter... (I love the light in this picture!)
while Jade poured more into the bowl...
Sawyer, doesn't he look happy?
Look at Sonja! She's so proud of her baby girl!
Laurie is so proud of Sabrina, too... How fun it is to be in your child's classroom...seeing them in their world of 'school'... and for all you parents who come in to help - thank you!
Austin was getting a little .... well, maybe tired? tired of sawing? Come on, Austin, you can do it!!!
Amara was prepared for the loudness of the palm sander....
Mr. S was busy helping Hannah and Amara with their sanding...
David was busy measuring...
Come on, Austin...
Cole was loving this woodworking! He was surprised at how smooth his wood became!
The cooking group had to borrow a larger bowl from the kitchen...Cayden was showing how large and how heavy it was!
Now it was time to load the muffin tins...
Mikayla had it down...it was a two-handed operation!
Sara gave a hand to get Elaine started...
Back to Ashlynn...getting the hang of her first day of crocheting...with help from April!
Sonjam learned how to crochet with a hook!
Mr. C was explaining to Hannah (and to Lura) how to measure to drill the holes to hang the hat rack with...
Mr. S was helping Karli get the edges sanded...
Whew! Austin is measuring...which means he must be finished cutting!
I think looks of concentration are THE looks from most of the crocheting group...
Ahhh....what a sweet picture of Isabella and Sonja!
Back to the cupcakes...and Ian was now using the mixer. He's in that great light for taking pictures!
Rachel was explaining what had to happen next...chocolate needed to be melted...Sara was watching our 3 male mixers!
Ahhhh....the cupcakes are out of the oven and looking great...
Now we had to wait for them to cool..
The group carried them from the kitchen to the 'cooking room.'
and the icing began...back in Room 5...
We were all so excited about tasting the cooking creations of the day!
Salted Caramel chocolate cupcakes... Yum, yum, yum!!!
Poor Mr. C...his group was all cleaned up...and he was waiting for a cupcake... the cooking group did take a bit longer... I wonder if Mr. C is asleep?
Nope...he was just kidding...
Ian was putting the chocolate on before the caramel frosting went on...
Once they were complete, the cooking group started serving us... Mikayla was delivering two to her buddies in Room 5...
Rachel and Sara continued to ice the last few remaining cupcakes...
Well, I guess you could say Ian was also into icing his cupcakes!
On the other hand, Isabella was ready to eat hers!
Amara was ready to eat hers, too! She was starting with the piece of caramel on top...
Yum! Room 5 was definitely enjoying this treat!
