Sharing our bags

Today was the first day for students to start sharing their bags. The 'bag' is just a lunch sack I gave each child with their name and a date printed on it. On their day, they introduce themselves to the class, using items in the bag as prompts.

Adam started off. We learned a lot about him. He likes the .... um? now I forgot whic football team it was. He also likes to participate in triathalons...and does well in meets! He brought a 'finishing tape.' He said everyone gets one when they finish. A bicentennial quarter was also in Adam's bag because he likes to collect coins. He brought a match box car...both to tell us he had driven here from New Jersey AND because he likes to play with match box cars. He also had two photographs-one was of his family - Mom, Dad, and 3 sisters...all older than him, and one of his two dogs! He obviously LOVES his family!

Sharing our bags is definitely a Kodak Moment!
