October 24th was a day all the fourth graders visited the garden and the area around the vernal pond.
We met in the gym and first heard a presentation on the local native American tribe. Then we headed to the garden.
Half of us stayed in the garden and planted two different plants...
We worked in groups of 3...
We took the plants out of the little pots they had started in...and transplanted them to a larger pot.
After about 15 or 20 minutes, we switched. Our class went out to where the vernal pond is...and heard more about how the local tribe survived in these parts long ago.
Definitely an interesting presentation!
