Thanksgiving Feast!

Room 5 has talked about some of the many things we have to be thankful for...
and Friday, November 22nd, we celebrated Thanksgiving by having a feast in Room 5.
Mrs. J made the turkey...cooking it in the school cafeteria.  I am so thankful to Mr. S, our principal, who is an absolutely wonderful principal ... and I am thankful that he carved our turkey!
Mr. S told me last year that he makes a turkey about once a month!  That's a great idea!

He also carved Mrs. B's turkey...

Our feast was amazing!  Since we didn't have groups, I asked parents if they could bring dishes...and oh my, did they ever!
We had an incredible feast...because we have incredible parents...who have incredible kids...  It was wonderful having everyone come share lunch with us.  We had approximately 65 people in Room 5 eating together...
I tried to take pictures of everyone, but I know I didn't.  I kept getting side tracked with things that needed to be done...so my pictures suffered, but the excitement and gratitude of parents and children didn't suffer at all...

Don't forget Nico's birthday!  Elena made a video or presentation on Nico's iPad...and invited anyone who can and who adores Nico, to come celebrate with him on Saturday, November 30 at Ultimate Yogurt at 2:30!

We arranged the room and had tablecloths and candles...we had music playing, but you couldn't hear it...65 people talking softly still is a lot of noise!

I so loved seeing our students and families sitting together and enjoying this time...
Thank you to all who were able to bring food to share...and to all who were able to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!
