Aliya

 Aliya Mariko...

In describing how she got her name, Aliya told us her parents had liked a singer named Aliyah...so they gave her this name...but spelled it a little differently.  (no 'h' at the end)  Her middle name, Mariko, is after her mom's half sister from Japan.  They thought it sounded pretty with 'Aliya' so that's how she got her name.  

 Aliya brought in some photographs to share.  She had photos of her cousins, sister, uncle, some from Disneyland, and a lot of her around water-- at the lake and in a pool.  In this picture, she's jumping off her dad's shoulders! 

Aliya loves purple..and she brought a purple pen to illustrate this. 

I can't remember what she brought to tell us, but Aliya has her own restaurant...in her house!  She said it's called "Cantina."  She made it up and she cooks for her family once a week.  Her favorite thing to make is a burrito! 

Aliya loves kit-kats... glitter...and silver nail polish.  She likes to polish her own nails.

She also brought her iPod touch...telling us she likes to make videos of herself.  We didn't see one of the videos, but I hope we do!
