Lura

 Meet Lura Ann!
Lura works in our classroom every morning.  We're the only upper grade who has a para-professional and we definitely consider ourselves fortunate!

Lura told us she was named after her Dad's mom who died when he was two years old.  :(  Ann come from her mom's mom whose name was Roseann...thus, Ann!

I loved hearing Lura tell Room 5 how her family called her LuraAnn... because that's a common thing in the south.  Lura isn't from the south, but her parents were. 

Lura is married to Stan...and they have 3 grown sons.  Fortunately for both of them, they also have 3 grandchildren, 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters, and they all live HERE!  (I'm jealous!!!)

In this first picture, Lura was telling us how she loves to read.  Her books are too large to fit in the bag, so her grandchildren helped her pack her bag..and one of them gave her this little book to illustrate loving to read!

 Lura also is one of our school bus drivers...so she had this little bus in her bag to illustrate.

 Her favorite sport is baseball...and her favorite team are the Texas Rangers SF Giants. 

She made our mouths water with her Hershey's Almond bar...which is her favorite candy bar. 

She also brought a little figurine of a cat and dog...because she has both:  2 cats and 1 dog.

It was fun having Lura share her bag and learning all about her!
