Minute to Win It

Friday, the 5th graders (& the ultra-special 4th graders in our classroom) met in the gym to play Minute to Win It!  Five students were chosen from each of the 3 classrooms to be this week's participants.  To be eligible, you had to have all your work turned in...and to have been a stellar student for the week.

I have to brag that ALL of Room 5 were stellar students for the week...and most had all their work in.
Our first participant was Hannah.  Her task was to stack 5 dice on a tongue depresser that she was holding in her mouth...in one minute.  Sound easy?  Try it.
 Hannah came close...
but I believe Connor won this round.
 Our next contestant was Elaine...
Her task was to shake the gum balls from one side to the other...
She gave it a hearty try...but unfortunately, wasn't the quickest...
David was our next contestant.  His job...
was to make a stack of 5 Sprite cans...with a paper plate inbetween each one...  I believe it was Anna who won this round...
 Next came Ian...
His challenge was to move tic-tacs from one plate to another...with tweezers!
 He did very well...
But Will beat him by 2...rats!
Aliya was our fifth contestant.  Her job was to unstack the cups, one by one, putting them in a new pile...and ending with the blue cup on top.
She got into a great rhythm...
I think when the time was up, she still lacked 2 cups!  SO CLOSE...
Corrine was one of the other contestants...
Kasey was the 3rd contestant.

Since there was only one stack of cups, each contestant had to do it separately.

No one won...

Minute to Win It... this was a blast...and we'll be doing it again next week!
