Micah

 Micah...

Micah is new to our school this year...and we're glad he's here!  He told us his 2 sisters and brother all had names that started with an 'M'...so his parents wanted a good Bible name.  Micah means 'Who is like the Lord.'  

He shared his beanie...telling us he likes to wear them. 

Micah likes reading the Bible...so he brought his Bible to share with us...

He also brought his DSI.  He likes to play it, although he hasn't had it very long.  He only has 3 games for it, and his favorite one is the racing game.

 He told us he likes to make mini paper airplanes. He also likes to fly them... but we did not have a demonstration of how it flew...

He brought a soccer bouncy ball... Micah likes to play soccer AND he likes bouncy balls!

Micah likes police officers, so he brought this Sheriff's star. 

He showed us how his 'Mighty Bean' works.  Many in Room 5 didn't know what a Mighty Bean was...now, they do! 

The last thing Micah shared was a leather pouch that he made.  Inside the pouch he had a little container that had 7 pieces of real gold, 1one piece of Iron pyrite, and one big red rock.  He explained that he went gold panning...but not in a river.  At his old school, it was set up to simulate panning for gold. 

Someone in Room 5 asked Micah why he didn't sell the gold pieces for money...
His answer, "I like the gold better than the money!"

We really enjoyed learning a lot about Micah!
