Mikayla

 Mikayla...

Mikayla started off telling us about her name.  Her dad's name is Michael, although everyone calls him Mike.  Mikayla is like a feminine spelling of Michael.  Her parents really liked it...and that's how she got her name.  Jane is her middle name.  That was her grandma - her dad's mom's name.  She passed away before Mikayla was born.  Mikayla Jane...I told her that really sounds like a good southern name!

Mikayla pulled out a crazy pen...she really likes them.  She had another blue pen, like Isabella's pink one, that she got at Phoebe's birthday party.  

She likes to run...and she showed us a ribbon she received from a local run she did.  She was number #3605.  She had a 3rd place medal from a different run.

Mikayla brought a picture of Justin Bieber...telling us she really likes him.

She had some photos to show us...some of her friends, of her first grade class, of some twin sisters...and this one.  Mikayla has been playing soccer for 6 years.  Her dad and Hannah's dad are the coaches. 

 Whenever their team wins 5 in a row, her dad will wear a dress...which is what is going on in the picture above!  This was definitely something for the blog!  How fun!

She also had a picture of the Grand Canyon...because it's in Arizona, which is where she was born!

 When Mikayla pulled out her "nerd glasses"... she knew what was coming!  It was time to model them...

I think they're adorable!  She got them at a store called Claire's.

Sushi was the next topic.  She told us sushi is her favorite food, so she brought a sushi ornament to show.  She also loves to cook..and she knows how to make sushi! 

Mikayla also likes to sew.  She has her own business that she does with her grandma.  It's called 'Rags to Bags.'  See this purse?  Yep, it was made by our very own Mikayla..

She also brought a softball because she loves to play.  She is a pitcher...and the softball she brought is signed by her whole team.
Soccer is another sport she has a medal from.  She got the medal the first year she played.
Golf...another sport Mikayla likes.  She even goes to Golf camps!

This is a science fair year for our school, and Mikayla brought her 2nd place ribbon she got at our school...and her 3rd place that she got at the county level!  Wow!

Last but not least was a little duck that lights up.  Mikayla told us she likes little things!
