Katelyn

Katelyn is one of our high school students... a former Room 8er! She's now a senior in high school. That's hard for me to believe!
We were excited when she remembered to bring her bag. She kept forgetting to bring it, and the one day that she did, I forgot to ask her. So today, she came ready to share. She started off with her cell phone. She said it "means the world to me!" She told us we would never see her without it.

Katelyn has a Mazda 6, which she loves. She brought her keys to show us.

Katelyn brought one of her soccer cleats, her red soccer cleat. She told us she needed some new ones...and she plays soccer all the time.

This is a picture of her dog, Teal. Teal is "kinda cute" she told us.

Katelyn told us her very favorite snack IN THE WORLD is Cheez-Its. She was practically drooling as she was talking about them. I think it was Aleia who said she loved them too, and could eat an entire Costco box full.

Her favorite candy in the world, is Starburst.... but only PINK STARBURST. Some Room 8ers said they also liked Starburst. When someone would say they liked orange, Katelyn would say she thought that color was gross. She said ONLY PINK for her!

Ohh, The Little Mermaid... Katelyn's favorite movie, her very favorite movie. She said she didn't even care if people made fun of her about it because it was her VERY FAVORITE movie. She loves her Little Mermaid pencil, too!

She brought her headphones because she listens to music a lot. She likes reggae, hip hop, country... she just likes music.

She really likes polka dots. She brought this pencil, that she got from her mom's office, to illustrate this. It was polka dotted, of course.

She used to be addicted to chap stick. She used it ALL the time. She doesn't use it as much anymore.

Nail Polish. Katelyn loves to paint her toenails. She said she would paint her fingernails but she gets too nervous about tests so she doesn't have any to paint!

Katelyn had told Room 8 the day before that she PROMISED she would bring her bag. She told them that if she forgot, she'd make them cupcakes or something. Well, she obviously didn't forget her bag, but she also made chocolate cupcakes for her favorite fourth graders! After we washed our hands for lunch, Katelyn stood at the door and let each Room 8er take a delicious cupcake to lunch.
Thank you so much Katelyn! We loved hearing all about you and enjoyed the cupcakes too!
