Meet Kai!
Kai started with this badmitton shuttle. He told us he likes to play badmitton..with his mom. He said his dad is really bad!
Kai likes to swim...and he takes lessons. These goggles, which he modeled for us, illustrated this.
This is Darth Vadar's head...because Kai loves Star Wars!
He showed us a photo of himself in Japan doing some fireworks. He had several other photos to share. This wallet is also from Japan.
Kai spends a couple of months every summer there. He is fluent in Japanese...which amazes his 4th grade teacher!
He also has dual citizenship...He brought his expired passports to show this. Many Room 5ers had never seen a passport before.
Kai also brought a shell box...a box covered in shells. His grandma in Nevada gave it to him, including the stuff inside. This crystal was in there, but he doesn't know where it came from. He also had a piece of petrified wood that his neighbor gave him for watering his lawn. A geode, some fools gold, and other rocks were also in the shell box.
When Kai first pulled this out, his fourth grade teacher thought it was a sand dollar. Nope! He said it was something from a coal mine.
The last thing he shared was this fossilized shark tooth!
Kai said his name was given to him because his dad just liked it and his mom could translate it to Japanese. Russell is his middle name and that came from his dad's friend.
Wow, Kai...we loved learning more about you!
