Friday Silent Reading

 Friday's silent reading time is different than Monday - Thursday.  On Fridays, Room 5 can choose to sit with a partner and read a 'Friday book' together.  A Friday book is something other than a chapter book. 

 Eye Spy books, Where's Waldo, picture books, yearbooks, etc., are all examples of Friday books.

 You don't have to sit in your chair at your desk during Friday silent reading.  You may choose to use a carpet square to sit on...or lay on...

I usually let about 4 pairs sit in the hall...not many more so we don't get too loud and disturb the other classrooms.

 Sometimes, students may choose to each read their own book, but just sit with a partner... that's ok too!
