Kyrie started by telling us she likes Yoda...with a little statue of Yoda to share.
Then she showed us a note from her aunt. She told us her aunt could draw really well! (Look at that! Wouldn't it be fun to read?)
This bag...I think she said her grandma made it. She did say her grandma likes to make stuff like this. Kyrie told us her grandma was an Indian!
Kyrie said she and her dad liked to collect poker chips. Some are from Harley Davidson, like the one in this picture. She also had a crystal that she got for her birthday from her cousin's friend.
Next, Kyrie showed us a rock...it was a reddish-orange color. She said it was her mom's and that Indians make face paint out of it. After Kyrie showed this to us, I showed Room 5 a photo of Mrs. B and I with our faces painted with paint made exactly how Kyrie was saying. When Mrs. B and I went to Australia, we stayed a day with the aboriginal tribe and they showed us how to make the paint and then painted both of our faces!
Kyrie also brought one of her mom's sand dollars.
Also included was a little book her counselor made in camp...and a card her brother gave her.
Out came the photos... We saw pictures of a ... is it a moose? ... that her parents took on a vacation...
and a photo of Kyrie and her dad when she was about 4 years old...
She showed us photos of her dance team, her dog "Marclar", her mom's ticket to 'Blackbeard the Pirate', a play that Kyrie was in. She told us she was a mermaid in the play. She also shared a ticket to Waterworld, where she went with Serenity!
Kyrie and Alexis when they first became friends! |
She shared her wax hand...and a little dog whose eyes pop out when you squeeze it...
THIS is Kyrie's driver's license! After Room 5 was stunned into silence that she had a driver's license, Kyrie told us her grandma made the '...driver's license for me for driving the lawn mower." Now, Room 5 was laughing!
Kyrie had a lot more in her bag...a Harley Davidson patch, a baby in a duck costume, a Snicker's flashlight that her cousin bought for her, a Seattle Space Needle ticket, 2 earrings she made when she was two years old, a Simpson bobble head because she likes the Simpson's. She said she did have a Simpson's patch, but she lost it. She brought some legos, too. Kyrie's was of Sponge Bob and Squidward...
Kyrie also shared her Native American patch...telling us she was a Native American, too.
Wow, we learned so much about Kyrie!!!
