This is a picture of Phoebe on her 6th birthday!
She also shared some pictures from a trip to the San Diego Zoo with her dad and her sisters...no wait, I think the picture was of Phoebe with her dad and sisters... her mama must have been taking the photo! She had a photo of her Grandpa in Hawaii, and her Grandma with a BEAR! Yep, a GRIZZLY BEAR! Phoebe told us the bear does tricks for marshmallows! He does commercials...Other pictures included one of her dog - a German shorthaired dog that is her Dad's hunting dog...and one of Cookie, her dog who has died.
Phoebe shared her trophy for soccer...and a purple golf ball. She likes to play golf with her dad and purple is her favorite color!
Here's the picture of Grandma and the GRIZZLY BEAR!
Phoebe shared this necklace that she made...and told us she likes to make necklaces!
She had told us she liked to golf...and then she also pulled out a pink golf tee!
This is a purse she got in Hawaii at a flea market. She told us they had lots of different things there like Hawaiian shirts, fans, coconut M & Ms and coconut Twix!
Phoebe also likes to write poems. This one is called "Grandma and the Cat Lady". Phoebe told us it had made up words in it. She read some of it to us...and the more Phoebe laughed, the more Room 5 laughed with her. She also likes to make books. She brought a book she made when she was 4 or 5 years old. Again, she read part of it to us, stopping along the way to tell us how she had spelled a word. "I said went was spelled wint!" Again, Room 5 enjoyed smiling and laughing along with Phoebe. I am impressed she was even trying to write books when she was 4 and 5 years old!
Phoebe showed us her rock "with goggily eyes" and other features she drew on with a Sharpie. She actually had more than one rock.
We saw some more photos...a family picture with her dad with a moustache, cutting down a Christmas tree; of the soccer team when Phoebe played All-Stars (Alexis was on the team); a pic of Phoebe when she was 5 or 6 years old...
Phoebe shared a poker chip that her mom gave her...a $1 coin... a St. Lucia coin her parents got when they went to St. Lucia; a $1 coin from Thailand (from a pen pal); and 3 50 cent pieces....she's not sure where the 50 cent pieces came from.
She shared a medal of her dads that he got from racing jet boats. He got it in 2008 and gave it to Phoebe 2 days later.
Phoebe also likes to sew. This certificate was one she received for completing sewing camp!
This green bag is one of the things Phoebe sewed! |
We learned so much about Phoebe, and had a fun time listening to her poems and books!
