Meet Raine!
Raine started out with a vintage doll. She told us it was special because it was given to her by her grandma who lives in L.A.
She also brought some measuring cups. She told us she likes to cook. Her dad is a chef, so that's probably why she loves to cook so much!
Raine also brought some photographs. She and one of her, with her brother; Raine when she was about 3 years old; her mom at Halloween; her other brother with shaving cream all over him with his friend, Isaac....
She had a photo of herself and her mom at a private school where she used to go. She told us she had long hair then.
Her cousin, Jacob, was in one of her pictures. He lives in San Francisco.
She had another Halloween picture of her with her 6 year old AUNT! and another one of Raine in Portland wearing her beret. She also had many more photos.
I think this is the Bakuan? Room 5 was trying to explain it to me, but I've lost it somewhere in my brain...
Raine brought a box of stuff her grandma gave her, including a glass bear. She told us she bought the glass bear because she gets $100 from her grandpa every year...so she buys a glass figurine each year.
Raine told us she loves frogs! They're usually brown, she said, but they turn green when they're happy or having babies!
In the box she had the only picture of her dad...and it was taken at Hearst Castle. There was a rock her Gma (Gee-ma) gave her. Some in Room 5 asked what she was saying when she said 'Gee-ma'...so Raine explained that is her grandma...who doesn't want to be called 'Grandma'...
She showed us a wristband in the box. It's a pirate and says Yo-ho-ho on it!
Next in her box was a princess that she painted!
She showed some more rocks...one that Gma gave her and said no one else could touch because it was so special... another rock had quartz in it...and another one had gold in it and was called a 'gold carrier.'
Next she had a popper! She squatted down on the floor to show how to use it. Wow! It bounced high!
Last, Raine showed us a key chain, "Smokey the Bear". She got it last year. She brought it because it reminds her of where she used to live...in Mammoth. When she lived in Mammoth, she was a snowboarder. At 3 years old, she was the fastest in her class...which included teenagers!
Wow, Raine! You had a lot to share and we enjoyed it!
