Tara

 Meet Tara!

Tara is a senior at our local high school.  I met Tara on her first day of fourth grade when she walked into my classroom.  Her fourth grade year was huge...in many ways.  I was so excited last year when she came in and asked if she could work in Room 5 this year!  I had her little brother a few years ago...so Tara is almost like family!

Tara started her bag by pulling out a Hershey's chocolate bar!  She said this is her all time favorite candy!
This picture that Tara is showing is her family at Disneyland...when she was in 4th grade!
Winnie-the-Pooh... Tara made this for her mom in ceramics class.  She told us she really loves this class...and Pooh is her mom's favorite character!
She brought 2 medals to share.  Tara loves sports...and one was for basketball and one for Volleyball.  She's playing on the volleyball team right now...telling us they lost a game last night that they should NOT have lost!
I love this picture!  This is a volleyball keychain:)
 Meet Sadie...Tara's dog!  Sadie is a beagle...and she's 3 years old.
Tara's boyfriend is a year older than she is.  Last year when he was a senior, Tara got to go to the Senior Prom since she went with him.
Keeping with her love of sports...is her love of football.  She's holding a ticket to a football game for our local university...
These are 5 of Tara's best friends!  You might be able to tell that they are all on the basketball team...
These last two pictures are of 2 different kinds of medals Tara received... one is the American Legion Award.  She got it in 8th grade...only 1 girl and 1 guy can get it each year.
The second award is the President's Award...also in 8th grade.

Tara told Room 5 that she had earned a spot on the Principal's list every report card for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  THAT is something to be proud of...  TARA is someone to be proud of...and we're so glad to have her in Room 5 this year!
