Meet Katelin!

Katelin started with some photographs...the first one of her with her friend (and fellow Room 5er), Jillian on Halloween. 

 She showed us her two cats:  Samoa and Shasta.  Samoa isn't alive anymore, but she told us that Shasta is 20 years old!!!  Many Room 5ers inquired if that was 20 cat years or 20 human years... answer:  20 human years. 

Also included was a picture of Katelin and a friend at the pumpkin patch!

 Katelin likes to collect rocks...actually, her family likes to collect agates.  She told us agates are 'really pretty'... which we all agreed!

Katelin showed her lanyard that she bought in Disneyland last year.  It has lots of pins on it.  Katelin bought the pins in different parts of Disneyland and then put them on the lanyard.

 She shared a stuffed hamster... Katelin has a real hamster at home... "Riley"

Katelin had a 'Mighty Bean' in her bag.  This is a toy that when you put it on a track-thing, it twists around.  (This is a Room 5 definition of a Mighty Bean...their teacher had never heard of one.)

 Next, Katelin pulled out a stuffed ladybug and turtle.  She told us these are her favorite animals.

Like a lot of her peers, Katelin also shared a bouncy-ball.  She told us she likes to bounce it in the house and outside with friends.

Katelin is a Girl Scout.  She brought 2 badges to show.  Both of them are for horseback riding.  Hailee asked how many badges she had, but Katelin said she wasn't sure.

Brady, with a big grin on his face, asked, "How many Mighty Beans do you have?"

With an even larger grin, Katelin answered, "Maybe 30!"

We learned so much about Katelin today!
