Miss C teaches

In room 8, we are fortunate to have Miss C as one of our student teachers.

Miss C taught her first lesson on Thursday. Unfortunately, Room 8's photographer FORGOT to take a photo, so this is Miss C's 2nd lesson on Friday.
This was a DOL lesson...which stands for Daily Oral Language. When we do this, two sentences are put on the overhead for us to correct. The students have time to correct it on their own, then we correct it together.

Good job, Miss C!

Hi! What fun it is to read this blog. 4th grade! Now that is a year with lots of exciting curriculum! I am Miss C's, "Aunt Janet". I teach kindergarten in Vancouver, WA. I was especially interested to see your garden. Our school is building and planting a garden this year. I'd be curious if any of the students have advise for us. Have a great week there!

Hi! It is so great to see you teaching Miss C! Hi class! I am Miss C's Aunt Susie. I am also a fourth grade teacher! I teach 32 students in Stockton. I think learning about California history is really exciting! Today we made an ecosystem in a bottle during our science lesson. I am going to see if my class has any questions for your class about what it is like to live in Northern California. We have been learning about the regions of California and will soon learn about the Native Americans that lived where you live now. We may have many questions for you! We will keep in touch!!! Have a wonderful Friday! Happy learning.

From Grandma
Today your cousin Kristina called. I told her how to get this website. She was all excited so perhaps you will get a comment from her all the way from Texas. Keep up the good work Room 8 and a nice weekend to all.
